Liukin wins silver medal on uneven bars at the 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 18, 2008 - 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas, claimed the silver medal on the uneven bars at the 2008 Olympic Games, held at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China, bringing her Olympic medal total to four (one gold, two silver, one bronze). Liukin and China’s He Kexin both posted scores of 16.725, but He was awarded the gold medal over Liukin due to a tiebreaker based on deductions. China’s Yang Yilin earned the bronze medal with a score of 16.650. | MORE |

Johnson wins silver, Liukin bronze in women’s floor exercise at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 17, 2008 -- 2008 Olympic all-around silver-medalist Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas, claimed the floor exercise silver and bronze medals, respectively, at the 2008 Olympic Games at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. Liukin wins gold, Johnson silver in women’s all-around at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 15, 2008 - Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas, and Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa, won the gold and silver medals, respectively, at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, becoming the first U.S. women to go 1-2 in the all-around at an Olympic Games. Liukin joins Mary Lou Retton (1984) and Carly Patterson (2004) as the only U.S. women’s gymnasts to win an Olympic all-around title.

Horton finishes ninth, Artemev 12th in men’s all-around at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 14, 2008 - Jonathan Horton of Houston and Alexander Artemev of Highlands Ranch, Colo., finished ninth and 12th, respectively, in the men’s all-around at the 2008 Olympic Games, held at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. USA wins team silver medal in women’s gymnastics at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 13, 2008 - The U.S. Olympic Team for women’s gymnastics claimed the team silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. The U.S. women finished with 186.525 points to earn their second consecutive Olympic team silver medal. China won the gold medal with 188.900 points, and Romania earned the bronze medal with 181.525 points. | MORE |

USA wins team bronze medal in men’s gymnastics at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 12, 2008 - The U.S. Olympic Team for men’s gymnastics won the team bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games, held at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. The U.S. men finished with a total score of 275.850 to win their second consecutive Olympic team medal after claiming silver in 2004. China won the gold medal with 286.125 points with Japan taking second at 278.875 points.
